Open System v/s Closed System

In simple words, open system means a system or organization in which any entity/element of the system has complete access to every information of the system whereas in a closed system, the entities are debarred from certain information or rights. Those rights or information are believed to endanger the unity of system.

Closed system implements censorship in various forms & degrees. Closed system is a worse system than an open system. Closed system hinders creativity, slows down development & in some way encourages crime. There are various examples & statistical data which throws light in this context. Death Penalty is a form of judical censorship, statistical data says that crime rates dropped in states, after death penalty has been abolished. Same results were seen in context of sexual openness & sexual repression. sexual crime rates are lower in those states where there is sexual openness bounded with security & laws than the states having sexual repression. Censorship is also applied in technology. Nowadays people are getting aware of the demerits of closed system as we can observe some drastic open concepts coming out, for example Open Source.
Open Source is a software terminology. It's meaning is simple that you can change the code/source of the software as per your need & then pass it on to other people or share it for free. So, there is different terminology used here instead of "copyright" it's called "copyleft". This concept really multiples the technological progress because each & every individual can contribute to it. The same theory follows for each & every type of technological censorship. When we censor the information access, we put a limit on the progress, be it in technological, political or social context & we treat every individual as creatures with no creativity at all. Isn't it possible that a common taxi driver can come up with a better solution than the president of the country. Closed systems contribute in concentrating the wealth in few hands. A statistical data says that 40% of the world's wealth is owned by 1% of the total population & thousands of babies dies every day due to curable diseases. Closed system is not at all public friendly as it is believed to be. Every person is bestowed with some type of creativity. If each & every data is available to public, there would be a always a probabilty of improvement & appendment in every sphere of our lives. It will be far better than our monotonous way of living & laws which we are following from 200 years, when we know that some of them are unjust & unfair.
Now thinking as a devil, open system may help the bad guys in their bad game but I don't think open system will help them more than the closed system as everything is open to public scrutiny. If we look at a general population of the world, what they actually need. We will observe that they need just the common necessities of life & a peaceful life.
Have you ever wondered, why we are not using renewable sources of energy instead of non-renewable sources when there are plenty of them are available & when the world is sitting on the bomb called global warming because people at the top are busy making their money. A new decison or a drastic change may risk their progress. Sharing & thinking of common good is just a part of moral stories in kindergarten books. When a child grows up, he must forget those things & become selfish. This is the irony of our civilised modern society.
If we just ignore the technological progress in our lives, we are just living the same type of life as the people used to live 200 years ago.
Our ideology & way of living never changed from a long period of time. Its time to gain consciousness & make changes & grant openness to every sphere of our lives because we are a part of the most violent era, mankind has ever seen.
