Essay: "Ships kept in harbor are not able to face the storm".

Ships kept in harbor are not able to face the storm. The statement means that the people who are not exposed to difficult times are unlikely to withstand obstacles of life & be successful. As the ship kept in harbor tarnishes & corrodes, similarly a person secluding from difficult situation will lose zeal & confidence required to withstand unfavourable circumstances.

There are plenty of examples of people around us who inspite of coming from lowest strata of the society, rose up while facing numerous obstacles & failures. One of the apt example is Edison who failed thousand times before inventing the bulb. His endeavours proved that failures & experience with tough circumstances are unavoidable for success.

Madam Curie who is regarded as the greatest woman scientist belonged to a very poor family. She lived in such a unbearable poverty of food & comfort that she used to faint while studying but she still cherished the dream of becoming a scientist. She is known for the invention of radium.

Its quite natural that everyone is unique, some are regarded as born-talented & more fortunate than others. Some tend to achieve success at a faster pace than others. But still everyone can achieve success by consistence hard work & struggle. Everyone has the ability to work hard & can decide to encounter difficulties inspite of other deficiencies .

Inorder to be regarded as a successful individual on has to be experience turbulent times which is never possible unless one chooses to face the unfavourable situations.
