Essay:"Education system is quelling Creativity in children".

Creativity is the spark of intellect, which is more essential than intelligence, as intelligence is synonymous with memory storage done in computers.  In the present scenario creativity of young minds are suppressed by our education system, which stresses on cramming the books rather than possessing a creative pursuit. Creativity is shunned within the brains & the children are kept busy in cramming more knowledge.

Albert Einstein pointed out this issue saying “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift & the rational mind is a faithful servant”. Our education system is manufacturing workers who are supposed to become engineers & doctors. Other innovative disciplines like dancing & art are forbidden by the society. Children are usually discouraged by their parents on pursuing a new career opportunities as the parents fear that it may put their future in risk. In fact our corrupt political system is too responsible for such orthodox mentality which fails to acknowledge minute aesthetic contributions.

It’s a misconception that everyone can’t be creative. Every child is creative. We need to commensurate to tap the creativity. This notion is vividly depicted in the Bollywood movie “Tare Jameen Par”.

In terms of imparting knowledge, our education system is much better than U.S. & U.K. counterparts. In India our education market is booming & it’s high time to revamp our education system so that creativity of a subject can be acknowledged as future lies in the creativity instead of redundant knowledge.
