Response:
The issue states that the way people behave is largely determined by external forces independent of them. Usually, people believe that their behavior is largely not under their control, and most of their lives are predestined, determined by their genetics, upbringing and the external environment. But in reality, people can control their behavior. Everyone is awarded by a virtue called freedom of choice. So, people determine their behavior most of the times.
A person characteristics are determined by his or her upbringing. Genes also plays an important role in shaping up the demeanor of a person. The characteristics of the parents are usually found in their offspring. The environment also shapes the characteristics of a person. If a child is brought up in a violent neighbor, then he is more likely to develop violent behavior.
Even though, our characteristics are determined by foreign forces, we have the power to behave in the way we want. Our behavior is under our control. If something goes wrong due to our behavior, then we cannot blame our genetics or our parents for it, because we are responsible for our behavior. It is a matter of personal interpretation of our individual responsibilities. An individual may indulge in robbing whereas another person may enroll himself in social services. Both of them had the power of choice, but they choose opposite paths as per their conditions and characteristics. Although, our characteristics may be the result of external agents, but the decision to take an action is our own. If we change our set of choices that we make in our lives, we are recursively changing our characteristics and personality, as individual's actions and characteristics are interdependent and shape one another. Thus, every individual has the power to change his or her personality.
Our behavior is largely decided by the way we respond to a particular situation. If a person keeps a check on his or her behavior, then he or she is most likely to improve his demeanor. If a person responds with anger to person who did something wrong unknowingly, then he is most likely aggravating the situation. So, usually our behavior is under our control and it is decided by how we respond to a particular situation.
Of course, other people's behavior is not under our control, they may also shape some part of our behavior. For instance, a violent attack on a person, may incite the person under attack to behave violently. The victim may not have the violent characteristics, but it was the need of the situation.
Summarizing the issue, most of our behavior is determined by our choices we make in our life, our choices can reshape our personality, irrespective of our past characteristics. So, everyone is largely responsible for their behavior, though our genes and upbringing also play role in shaping our natural characteristics.

You never say what the actual scores are for these essays, and there are so many grammatical errors: "Most of the times," "A person characteristics."
